Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round
Sat 6 Mar 2027 at 11:00am
Held every March to commemorate the legendary fell runner, Stan Bradshaw, and devised to reduce erosion as the successor to the Half Tour of Pendle, the route climbs to the trig via Buttock Farm and then follows the spine of Pendle before dropping to Churn Clough Reservoir. The route then visits Stainscomb, for many years the site of Stan’s hut, from where it climbs over the hill back to Lower Ogden Reservoir before a fast finish back to Barley.
1st Lady, 1st Man and 1st Under 23 hold perpetual trophies for eleven months.
The Pete Bland Sports van will be in Barley Car Park. Soup, cakes, teas and coffees will be available before and after the race in the village hall.
The Stan Bradshaw is held under UKA rules and registered with the FRA.
