Cross-Country Championship
An open competition to find the best male and female cross-country runners. The female champion holds the Cross-Country Champion Cup, and the male Champion holds the Metcalfe Trophy.
Awards for 2nd and 3rd positions are also made and veteran (5 year categories), U20 and U23 awards are available. The number of awards made depends on the number of members completing the competition in each age category.
First male and female in each race to be awarded 50 points, second 49 points, third 48 points etc.
To be given a final ranking it is necessary to have completed at least two races. The points from a member’s best two races are added together to determine the final rankings for male and female competitors.

Cross-Country Palladium
In the Cross-Country Palladium, members receive points for competing in the race that includes the Senior Ladies’ race, or the race that includes the Senior Men’s race at the following cross-country fixtures:
Mid Lanc’s League XC fixtures
Red Rose XC League fixtures
Lancashire XC Championships
First male and female in each race to be awarded 50 points, second 49 points, third 48 points etc. To be eligible for any award a member must complete at least five races.
The Ladies’ Champion holds the Eric Doorbar Cup, and the Men’s Champion holds the Palladium Cup. Awards for 2nd and 3rd positions are also made to Ladies and Men.
