Parkrun Competition

The Val Lawson Trophy is awarded to the club member who has made the greatest improvement in their 5k parkrun Best Age Grading for the current year compared to the previous year. As parkrun is a ‘timed run’ rather than a race, this competition is open to associate members as well as full members.

There is a single male and female competition. Awards will also be made for second and third positions. The numeric difference between the Best Age Grading for the current year and previous year will be used to determine rankings. To be eligible for this competition at least six parkruns must be completed (not necessarily as a club member) in the year being contended.
